All of a sudden Sims 4 will not launch from the EA app. Every time I click play or double click the desktop shortcut it will take a few moments of "thinking" and then the EA app will just reappear. I have tried pretty much every fix that I have seen on here and I cannot seem to fix it.
We're currently looking into some reports that The Sims 4 will not launch in the EA App after accepting the prompt to move over from the Origin client. In the meantime, we've heard from some folks that uninstalling and reinstalling The Sims 4 in the EA App has allowed them to launch the game.
Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. First I'd try to force close the EA app via task manager. If that doesn't resolve the issue, you might need to reinstall the EA app. I don't THINK it should get rid of your games (because it would just download them again) or your saves, especially if you use online saves.
