Contrary to popular belief, Mac OS can accumulate cruft over time. My Mac OS systems have run lean and clean for years and there is a noticeable difference compared to my systems that don't have it. On my Windows systems, I use CCleaner and Glary Utils (along with some of my homegrown .bat files to perform regular maintenance)

Thanks for the response. I see you're an expert and I'm just a dabbler. If I didn't have Clean My Mac, my computer would probably be bogged down since I am not very good at getting rid of the junk that apparently builds up in the box (hard drive). So, I'm reluctant to give up on what has been an easy help for a low level tech like me.
