For many years, and for many Minecrafters, Miners Need Cool Shoes was the go-to, best, and easiest tool for skin creation and sharing. Unfortunately, however, around January of 2023, the site at needcoolshoes.com would go dark, and, as of the date of writing this, never return.
This is a recreation of the Miners Need Cool Shoes editor, as it was between 2010 to 2014. The site did a re-design in 2014, as to support the Minecraft 1.8 skin overhaul. That redesign persisted ever since, becoming the editor most people remember. This editor was originally written in Flash.
Where are my skins? This site is a fan-made restoration of the site "needcoolshoes.com". Unfortunately, the original site went down in January, 2023. If you created an account on the old site, or uploaded skins there, they will not exist here!

An Open Letter to the Original Developers. May, 2023. Context: Miners Need Cool Shoes was, for a long time, a favourite skin editor for the Minecraft community. Going dark in January of 2023, the community lost a powerful tool, and an archive of over 10 years of skins.
