Marianne Wiggins. Marianne Wiggins (born November 8, 1947) is an American author. According to The Cambridge Guide to Women's Writing in English, Wiggins writes with "a bold intelligence and an ear for hidden comedy." [ 1] She has won a Whiting Award, an National Endowment for the Arts award and the Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize. [ 2]
Early life and education. Porzak is the daughter of Pulitzer-prize nominated novelist, Marianne Wiggins. She attended Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School and received her degree from Dartmouth College. A self-proclaimed photography workshop junkie, Porzak has studied with Mary Ellen Mark, Graciela Iturbide and Christopher James amongst others.
