There may be versions of mods that no longer work with the current version of the game that can't be deleted, modders may have uploaded the wrong files to a certain mods, the list goes on. The Modpack feature is locked behind Nexus Premium.

Well, the day has finally come, and the Nexus doesn't seem to care. Mod collections are coming, users will have an easier time of installing mod lists, and the world will keep on turning. Personally, I am breathing a little sigh of relief that he will be a smaller part of the conversation when it comes to Nexus Mods going forward.

In the early days of the internet, this wasn't an insurmountable problem, if mods were abusive, the community left, recreated the website somewhere else, and appointed new mods, and wise mods knew there was a limit to how far they could push their control before this would happen to them, and they would be left the kings of ashes.

A lot of people who want to PLAY with mods do not necessarily want to spend a bunch of time learning how everything works. INSTALLING mods is not fun to most people, which is a fact that the mod author community has a hard time reckoning with. 100% agree.

  9. As a relative outsider, that's definitely a badly inflated ego. Until I arrived here today and read some threads I didn't even know what an Arthmoor was. Oh sure I knew the mods, but that's the thing - the mods, not the modder. I'm fairly sure most people who aren't hardcore into the modding "scene" only care about the end product, not the ...

A bunch of mods combined in a pack, you may or may not want all of the mods, just one, two, or five. The mod you may actually want isn't in the mod pack, it's somwhere else, and what, and you have to tediously sort through them. The more mods in collections, the more you have to thumb through.
