The Arizona-based grocery store has lots planned for its June 30 grand opening. The store, at 1149 Cortez Road, will open at 7 a.m. Among the grand opening activities are a “pop-up party” for guests to sample seasonal produce and a reusable goodie bag that will be available to the first 200 shoppers on Friday and Saturday.
Many here haven't lived in other cities so they don't know what they are missing. Even Tulsa has better grocery store. There is good news though. New grocery stores continue to "look" at OKC, and the grocery stores continue to improve slowly. A major issue is that Walmart owns 60% of the grocery share here which really brings down the quality.
It's in a similar space as Sprouts, which I like. Trader Joe's and Sprouts take the concept of Whole Foods, but at generally lower prices and less square footage per store location. Sprouts does it better than Trader Joe's. Walmart: Great prices. This was my primary grocery store during a time when I was economically challenged.

I go to HEB & Costco for 80% of stuff. I used to be able to get a lot of healthy natural stuff at HEB for far less than Sprouts but HEB significantly reduced their natural food selection, especially proteins & supplements, during the Pandemic years, reducing it by half, no longer carrying many products.
Beachway Plaza is also home to a Publix supermarket as well as a Home Centric store, Pet Supermarket, and a number of restaurants, including Danny's Pizzeria, Sapporo Sushi-Hibachi and Cremesh European Restaurant. The proposed Target would be the second in Manatee County. The existing store is at 6150 14th St. W., in Bayshore Gardens.
