I have read MANY discussions of troubles with this transmission. My Dealer (Deien Chevy in Trenton, IL) went to bat for me TWICE with GM after I had some symptoms, see below.
P0014 2012 3.6l. I have a 2012 LT fleet with 156,000 miles - mostly highway. I use Mag 1 Dexos oil since I bought the Impala with 22,000 miles and change when the oil life is less than 20% (about 7000 miles - mostly highway). On a recent rip I threw a P0014 code twice.

At first it was during sharp left turns but now it's also stalling while going straight. I'm just driving and it will shut off without warning. No check engine light and the car will start up just fine after that.
