Wazobia FM 95. 1 was founded in November 2007, in Lagos State by Aim Group and it was the first pidgin radio station in Nigeria. One year later, another branch was opened in Port Harcourt with 94.1 frequency, followed by a branch in Abuja in January 2011 with the frequency 99.5, and then another in Kano State with the frequency 95.1 in October 2011.
