Today Norton support helped me revert the Realtek HD Audio Driver to old version and High Definition Audio Devices. I can hear the sound now but it has low sound, which is much different from Realtek R option I used before. Try rolling back the sound drivers Choose Sound controller and other audio devices, then Driver tab, then Roll back if available. If no newer sound drivers then uninstall the one presently installed in Device Manager, reached by right clicking the Start Button. Restart PC to reinstall.

Here's the steps you can try. -Press Windows key + X. -Go to Settings. -Click Update and Security. -Click Troubleshooter then Additional troubleshooter. -Look for Playing Audio and run the troubleshooter. Once done proceed with these steps. -Press Windows key + X. -Go to Device Manager.
I set my speaker configuration to Stereo in the Realtek HD Audio manager and all sound was restored to the subwoofer. Sound is working fine with this configuration. Suffice to say, I am still sure that there is an issue that has to be resolved with the Realtek HD Audio driver and its compatability with the latest WIndows 10 build. Ivan Conway
Realtek HD Audio Manager settings, working with 5.1 in Windows 7: ---- attempting the same in Windows 10 unsuccessfully - means I need to downgrade to Realtek HD Audio Driver to v2.81 - in order to get the Realtek HD Audio Manager (as it's no longer available in v2.82). Setting to 5.1 brings through side speakers, so need to set to 7.1.

I just upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1, and found I wasn't getting any audio from my speakers. My Realktek HD Audio manager can detect my analog speakers hook-up in the rear panel.
