XP gives practically unlimited tileset size (which is not necessarily a good thing - too big and it causes lag) but only 7 autotiles. Ace gives you lots and lots of autotiles, but tileset size is limited. - database flexibility - XP has a lot of hardcoded stuff and doesn't allow much flexibility unless you script.
