Part 1 – Common misconceptions and assumptions about Genshin Impact and Gacha games. There is a common misconception, especially among western audiences, that gacha mechanics in a game hold companies back from implementing mechanics or gameplay that is desirable. This is untrue in a great majority of cases. Games like Genshin Impact make the ...

  3. Thoughts on Genshin as a gacha game? : r/Genshin_Impact - Reddit

Low rarities in Genshin are deeply cared for. Think how easy this game is for long term players. The Impact to the entire game industry is yet to come, so dread it, as it's always a race to the bottom. Worst possible thing has come to fruition, a good gacha game. 2.

  4. A detailed look at the gacha rates in Genshin Impact

In other Gacha game, you get a PNG, or small chibi model with little to no animation. In Genshin, you have a 3D model fully animated, smooth control, interesting and eye catching move set, and some fcking top tier JP VA (along with some really good VA for CN, KR and EN). Although I don't do gambling, gacha like this is exceptable imo.

  6. why people think genshin like gacha system = bad - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/gachagaming/comments/173yd71/why_people_think_genshin_like...

In multiple ways, I prefer Genshin's system. It's not all upsides with Genshin, of course. Characters are good for 99% of the game because there is fuck-all endgame content. And transferring the power budget to artifacts and weapons means being beholden to weapon gacha and especially artifact substat RNG hell.

  7. Genshin Impact review - "A true AAA gacha game" - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/j69bnc/genshin_impact_review_a_true_aaa_gacha_game

However it takes ages of slog, unskippable story and fetch quests to unlock the multiplayer, and I am hearing a lot that the multiplayer is not even that good. I am impressed for it being a F2P Gatcha, but really not impressed at all as a game as a whole. 1. 3.3M subscribers in the Games community. The goal of /r/Games is to provide a place for ...

    www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/xbus5g

Numbers don't lie though $$ wise. When Genshin came out, a shit ton of posts claimed Genshin's system/rates were worse than most gacha, FGO and the like. It wasn't long before people found that Genshin's system was better than most Gacha. Tower of Fantasy, the latest gacha to hit the markets, has a much worse system compared to Genshin.

For some other gacha games that aren’t as open world as genshin there’s honkai impact which is similar and made by the same devs. Punishing gray raven can be played on pc with an emulator but I think the devs recently announced plans for a pc port. Tower of fantasy is an open world gacha on steam.

None of these games made anywhere near Genshin money in overall global market. I suggest you look at Appmagic lifetime revenue. Not single month. Honkai Star took a big chunk of Genshin market share from Mihoyo's desire to diversify, but lifetime revenue or peak 1 year revenue, no gacha game is even close to the same ballpark since Genshin came ...

  11. One thing I can appreciate about Genshin's gacha system

    www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/wjwnua/one_thing_i_can_appreciate...

Not really. The fact they make most characters irrelevant in terms of gameplay, neglected even, it shows that the gacha system is terrible. It's still gambling. It's still in a game targeted at children. I doubt Genshin Impact will survive past 4.0 with this among other issues, still in the game.
