Actually the IPMB apparently is not a bad price New at $44.11. 2013 Ford Escape Control Module CJ5Z-19H405-B | TascaParts.com. I also got a liftgate trim panel with camera and trim panel harness off ebay for $70.
I have a 2013 Ford Escape SEL where the backup camera was displaying upside down and the parking aids were no longer visible. With only 126,000 miles I decided to buy a OEM Replacement Camera from Walmart.....P/N CJ5Z-19G490-B. It was $150. Guess it was too good to be true.

They found the plug wasn't all the way into the computer under the dash I believe. They said they pushed the plug all the way in because it was loose and it's been fine since. Hope this helps.
29 posts · Joined 2018. #3 · Sep 30, 2020. Ford announced a recall for the rearview camera according to Car and Driver. The recall includes 2020 Escapes along with other Ford models. Ford is saying it's a connector issue. Here is a link to Car and Driver on the report.

Speaking from experience with my Focus, you'll need the camera, FORScan to enable the camera, as well as a wiring harness like the one from 4D Tech that has an RCA plug to plug the camera feed into. You could also "re-pin" your existing harness and wire-in an RCA connector, but the 4D harness is plug ...

I’ve never had any problems with the back-up cam but today when I went into reverse the sync screen showed black with squiggly lines. I turned the car off and restarted to find the image upside down without the guidelines for backing up.

Backup Camera Problem. I recently purchased a 2013 Escape SEL, and my backup camera was blurry. So i purchased a replacement camera online, and just replaced their old one. The camera image is now perfect, but some associated features no longer work. I no longer get the guidelines on the screen when backing up, or the colors when items get closer.
