R.E. "Bob" Woodruff Lake is a lake on the Alabama River in central Alabama. Woodruff Lake stretches along 80 miles (130 km) of the Alabama River and has an area of about 20 square miles (52 km 2). Woodruff Lake was made possible through the construction of the Robert F. Henry Lock and Dam which was completed in 1975.
Attack[edit] At 8:30pm, on December 3, 1976, two days before the Smile Jamaica Concert, seven men armed with guns raided Marley's house at 56 Hope Road. Marley and his band were on break from rehearsal. Marley's wife, Rita, was shot in the head in her car in the driveway. The gunmen shot Marley in the chest and arm.
