Walkman DAC Mode/Bluetooth So many stock softwares/firmwares have taken the 1A to a better place. The early days of 1.02 and Firmware 2.0 were nice. But a big change happened when Sony revealed there was a Bluetooth Receiving chip placed deep inside the player right from the get go!

Hello everyone! MrWalkman, a big thank you for your firmware "Walkman One"! I use it on the Sony nw-zx300 with xba-n3 and DIY-wire (copper silver plated 0,03*7*24 "МС16-13" from USSR 70-80) via balanced output.
There is no guarantee that this guide will not cause unexpected issues with operation of your Walkman. Try at your own risk. Please note that this guide was made in Apr 2022, the best efforts on my end was made to ensure that this tweaks and optimisation worked back then with firmware 1.01.
1/ Can Walkman be used as a Line out source ? The clear answer is ”Sony doesn’t recommend it”. However, if you want to, you can still use it, and it is best with utilizing ground connection from 3.5mm. The sound quality will not be as good as phone out. Because the system is designed to take into account the Load Reactance of the voice coils.
