  2. Underscores in words (text) - TeX - LaTeX Stack Exchange

    tex.stackexchange.com/questions/48632

    As far as I know (and also confirmed by some other users) the extra grouping in {\_} does nothing. \char is primitive TeX command. The LaTeX command is \symbol. 5. Is it possible to write the '%' symbol in text in LaTeX?

    tex.stackexchange.com/questions/339191

    I tried to write a sentence which includes the %-symbol using \text {}, but the function that the %-symbol has in LaTeX seems to block me from using it in a normal text sentence.   6. At any rate, math mode provides \sim, \backslash, and \setminus (the latter two appear to look the same and differ only by spacing in math mode). My LaTeX book – which, as you would expect, features the \ extensively – seems to use the verbatim environment. For example, this code: \begin{verbatim}

This has advantages over the HTML export, like support for footnotes and similar features that are supported by Word, but not by HTML. – michal.h21.
