[2][3] It is the third least-awarded badge in the U.S. Military, after the Military Horseman Identification Badge and the Astronaut Badge. A Department of the Army Guard (DASG) is an armed, uniformed, civilian guard that provides physical security and access control at US Army locations, in conjunction with DACP. [3][4][5] The uniform is almost identical to DACP, but with "GUARD" rather than "POLICE" on the shoulder patch and badge. [6] The equipment and firearms are the same as DACP.
