Either way, you should watch the Theatrical Cut first. It's a much better intro to the movie because that's how it was made. It's smoother, it's more open to theories and interpretation, etc. Especially if you're showing someone the movie, use the theatrical cut. However, if you love it you should watch the director's cut.
