The Nature Museum has given visitors the opportunity to create an authentic connection to nature, and has provided the Academy with a new opportunity to build on its legacy of hands-on science education, scientific research, and citizen/community science.
Experience over 40 species of exotic, free-flying butterflies and several stunning bird species from the Southern hemisphere in our 2,700 square-foot greenhouse. Complete with serene pools of water, flowers, tropical trees, and 1,000 butterflies, it always feels like summer in the Butterfly Haven.
Get ready to experience our daily Butterfly Release, our indoor play area, and so much more! Access to our daily programs and all of our exhibits, including the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven and the Hawver and Lacy Families Nature's PlaySpace, is included with admission.
