I had them set up as a HT system for a while, but upgraded to a 7.1 JBL Performance Series. Still, the SVAs are hard to give up; every once in awhile I want a good punch in the face. As a stereo pair they work very well, though with the SVA1600 and SVA1500, a sub will really help them clean up the upper bass and midrange and be even more powerful.
