If you live anywhere close to Cincinnati you can pick up a new AF23 from Strickers in Batavia for around $200. Total cost of swap would be less than $500. Hardest part of swap is the front tranny mount.

Re: S series are getting harder and harder to find. The first owner usually takes care of their car. The second owner is a wildcard, based on their values, upbringing and I.Q. By the time you get to the 3rd owner, they are stomping their cigarettes out on the carpet and ignoring oil changes.

I got the new (used) crossmember and installed it today. The install took about 2 hours, with no problems. I looked at the lower control arms, ball joints, steering, etc, etc, everything looked OK.. One of the advantage of this engine cradle is that its used in a lot of GM vehicles for a lot of years.

The bulk rebuilders buy cores in bulk for 2 to 3 dollars each. Out of 100 cores you will get 80 to 90 good rebuilt units and a pile of spare parts. I think I have mentioned that I will not buy an alternator or starter from an auto parts store. Even the supposed remanufactured units are assembled with parts of questionable quality.

I received one AC Delco part number of 24226576 for a kit which I am guessing comes with the grommet and filter, but when GM searched the part number they said it was wrong. I gave them my VIN and they returned a 12581535. I was told from GM parts that this transmission seems to have 2 filters, and upper and a lower.

  9. Reverse light switch - SaturnFans.com Forums

1995 SL2. Re: Reverse light switch. First be sure it is the switch and not just the bulbs. Advance Auto Parts carries one for about $18. I suspect other parts places would have it as well. Not difficult to replace, just an akward reach. Be careful not the mess up the connector when you remove the wiring from the old switch.

Remove the center console and fuse box panel, and the panel on the other side of the fuse box. Now use a multimeter to check for power coming into the window relay, or install the window relay and turn on the ignition ("run" position) and check for power coming out the relay. Good, now your windows have their power.

I got it now, removed the 3 stut tower bolts and it cleared it with the transmission jacked up, then lowered transmission to put on the rest of the way. I bent the tube on the way out.
