Feb 18, 2021. #11. I only tried two Nikon scopes, both have really good glass. The P-223 3x32 is the perfect size for my 10-22 Takedown since it doesn't extend past the receiver when broken down. It's super clear and has a very easy eye box, but then it's only a 3x.
The machining and fit of the M-223 is generally very good, though the power change ring has a finish that does not match the rest of the optic and looks rather cheap and cast. At 13.93oz, the M-223 is one of the lightest scopes in the table, which will be approved of by the weight conscious.
Given that Nikon is presently out of the scope business these days I’ve heard they are providing Nikon store vouchers for any scopes they are not able to repair or replace. I have a Nikon Black FX 1000 4-16x50 illuminated model that is giving me fits trying to zero.
143. Texas. Dec 5, 2021. #4. Nikon had several lines, likely from different OEMs. Looking specifically at the Buckmasters, the scope body does look identical. But it's the fact that Sig is using the old Nikon line name that made me even compare to start with. G.
Both of these scopes are priced within $10 of each other. I have not had any experience with either scope so I am hoping some of you here have. Here are the 2 scopes I am looking at Nikon Prostaff 4-12x40 with their bdc reticle or the Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40 with their bdc reticle.

Re: Bushnell vs Nikon well with hunting rifle the simpler the scope is the better, a set parallax scope is point and shoot. You have to ask your self if you are really going to have time to focus your scope while holding on the game that is probably moving away fast.
