nope Really? I thought that at least Iha had recorded some guitar tracks on some of the songs from Siamese Dream forward to his departure.

The regular PowerTron set is calibrated to work together. They sound great, like a good crossbreed between a FilterTron and a PAF. I found them to be an excellent replacement for the Setzers in this guitar. Adding some mids made for a fuller sounding guitar and got rid of the percieved mushy bottom/annoying highs.

What, no D'Arcy? I'm actually good with there being no D'Arcy and the cantankerous, hipper-than-thou druggie decor she provides.

The third one was made in 2024 and felt a little different from the others, i.e. worse. It felt not nearly as smooth and had a few visible blemishes where the neck meets the body. The knobs were really high and wobbly. The tone knob had a weird little hex nut beneath it that looked like a novice modders installed it.

James Tyler has, imho, the worst looking headstock in the business. The rest of the guitar could be top notch and I wouldn’t care because I can’t get passed how hideous the head stock is. That said, Suhr makes a nice super strat. Danocaster does as well if you can find a SSH version of his double cut and want something that’s aged.

Oct 22, 2019. #12. My wife and I saw Chris Isaak & band with Wilsey around 1987/88. They gave a phenomenal performance, with an impressive studio-like sound. This was around the time Isaak's version of Heart Full of Soul was charting. I remember thinking, " I'm never going to sound that good on guitar am I ", lol.

Member. Messages. 3,882. Jun 6, 2022. #6. I'm a super Strat player kind of guy. Tyler Guitars have always been on my radar and always wanted one. I had the opportunity to play a Tyler Studio Elite as a guest musician for a cover band years ago. I never played one before, but the guitarist was quite good, was a very nice guy to talk to, and was ...
