I normally ride alone and have a setup I am happy with - an MP3 player and Bose QC20 (wired) earbuds. This is by far the best noise cancellation I have found. Now I would like to try adding the ability to talk to my wife as a passenger. I have no particular interest in bike-to-bike comms.

Right now I use a set of the Bose Quiet Comfort 20 wired earbuds, which work great and reduce wind noise far better than earplugs, while still allowing me to listen to music and podcasts. My first set of these wore out after about 5 years. The current set is about 3 years old and still works well, but will eventually need replacing.

Wired buds are a monstrous pain in the ass while wearing a helmet (assuming she's wearing a full-face lid). Every movement of cheeks and jaw will tug on the cords, making them try to pull out of the ears.

I have BIGEAR custom molded earbuds and they are primo. All-day comfy vs. storebought because they are molded to your individual ears. Not cheap at $ 350 a pair, but worth it to me and most people that own them. I also have a Bluetooth Sena Headset that is supposed to be best in class, with helmet speakers..

So I have an SMH-10 as well as a 20S. I want to connect some wired in ear buds to the Sena device to help with noise reduction as well as clean music. Currently, I install some foam plugs and crank the Sena to 11. MY 2 Sena units won't play directly through to the headphones. I'm not interested in wiring and soldering.

wired isolating earbuds, I tried different types including Shure SE215s and Etymotics (I forgot exactly the type) and they didn't work for me. Very uncomfortable after few hours and prone to move/fall out when putting my helmet on the head. Also, they actually isolated too much noise.

I've tried a few earbuds that were wired but should be the same as wireless. Most work fine for me. Buy low profile ones that don't stick out, remove ear speaker foam from the pocket in your helmet, and after inserting into your ear, wrap the cord down under the ear lobe and back up over the top so the cord now falls down the front of your ear.

The best wireless bluetooth ear buds I've found are Jabra Evolve 75e - they are 'around the neck' style have a good battery life, block some noise, and best of all they have a 'hear through' feature so if you stop you can push a button and hear people talking to you without having to remove your helmet or ask them to shout.

I've the Freecom4 with same system, and use custom earbuds. My earbuds also have a short cable, the connector is at 12" or so from the earbuds. I put my helmet (C3Pro) on, connect the earbuds, and then put the connectors between neckroll and liner. I also put the cables in my neck so they don't get anywhere near the chin strap. Works pretty ...

After years of never being truly happy with a solution, I happened upon a review in Amazon when looking for non-MC friendly earbuds. Several commenters mentioned how great they were under a helmet, how good the sound was, and one mentioned that combining these very affordable buds with Comply replacement tips, they were nearly perfect.
