While Light doesn't become a Shinigami, Ryuk does state that he would make a Good Shinigami because of how he uses the Death Note, he makes this comment i think the episode "Deal" when Ryuk mentionsthe eye deal after Light says "If i keep bargain for Eyes and Wings i'll probably end up becoming a Shinigami". i think this is where the misunderstanding comes from.

  3. Was light always evil or did the death note corrupt him?

    www.reddit.com/r/deathnote/comments/xow0mf/was_light_always_evil_or_did_the...

Light is not evil in the beginning. Light gets the power of the death note and uses it not for personal gain but to build a safe society free of crime and evil criminals. Light is careful at the start only to execute the worst of the worst criminals - not petty criminals. Light is a genius, narcissist and sexist.

ADMIN MOD. Light's manga death was more satisfying than the anime. [Death Note] Anime & Manga. The ending of Death Note differs between the manga and anime. Now being as realistic as I can, I would say each character would likely place in these number ranges: L: 260-350, yeah, this one might seem a bit extreme, but is the hardest to approximate, but looking at the highest IQ, William James Sidis, is said to have ranged between 250-300. Near: 225-300. Light: 200-275. Mello: 180-220.

Kira (Or Light Yagami) is definitely an anti hero. By definition, anti hero means the central character in a story, film, or drama who lacks conventional heroic attributes. Heroic attributes are the qualities like strong sense of justice, striving for others rather than his own existence, compassion for others etc.

Light had held in that maniacal laugh of victory the whole series. He was smarter than anyone (except for L). He was the only one who could truely weild the power of the Death Note. For him to become the god in end would just be the most satisfying ending I was waiting for. If Light was going to lose to anyone I wouldve liked it to be L as I ...

An unfortunate fact of life is that all humans make mistakes. Light's first fatal mistake was killing Lind L. Taylor. For the first time, Light killed a man who he had thought to be a non-criminal. This proved to L that Kira was a human. A human that was mortal enough to feel threatened by a man on the television.

Anime straight out changed his personality in ep 1 - what pre-DN anime Light is like is very different to pre-DN manga Light. Changing Light's personality for one episode seemed fine and easy, changing his personality for the entirety of the Yotsuba arc to be consistent with this change would take a lot more work and effort, to the point of ...

  10. Does Anybody Else Absolutely Hate Light? : r/deathnote - Reddit

First, nobody should have that power. Light killed innocent people. Granted a few but a few is to much. He become a killer for fun. On the other hand. I rather he have the deathnote than anyone else. He mostly targeted criminals and most people would prob just kill because they don’t like someone. Reply.

  11. death note - Did L win against Light? - Anime & Manga Stack...

    anime.stackexchange.com/questions/37893/did-l-win-against-light

    6. It really depends on what you call winning. L had been suspicious, strongly suspicious and just a tad less strongly suspicious of Light being Kira throughout the entire anime (or, well: those potions wherein he was alive). L, however, wanted to prove that Light was Kira with evidence that would suffice to try him guilty.
