Hello all, Trying to use the BG3 Mod Manager but my mods are listed under Overrides. Anyone got a solution to this?
The tooltips for both highlighted mods read: "This mod overrides base game files directly. As long as this mod exists in the Mods folder, these files will be overwritten, even if the mod is disabled.
FYI, BG3 Mod Manager and Script Extender have been updated to the new patch 7. So in short, you can use your Nexus mods (that worked with the previous release), with the newly Patched 7 game. You can get both from GitHub. I've cleared out my old mods and old script extender then did a file verification. For me, so far so good.
Use the BaldursGate3 mod manager. Copy the file from the full release mod fixer in %localappdata%/larian studio/BaldursGate3/mods. You need the file without message fixer. You cannot use the patch3 mod fixer and the full release mod fixer together. It will appear in override in the mod manager.
Mods under "Overrides" are files that have base game folders, but no metadata (Mods/ModFolder/meta.lsx), or no files outside of the game folders they override. So it doesn't matter if you have multiple paks all overriding the Game folder, they should all appear.
1) Open up Steam and make sure your game is up to date! Modders are usually pretty quick and most mods are patched to work with BG3's latest version. 2) Download the latest version of the Mod Manager that is compatible with almost every mod on nexusmods.com; https://github.com/LaughingLeader/BG3ModManager or here's the direct download link.
Current Features: Reorganize mod load orders with a quick drag-and-drop interface. Allows reordering multiple mods at once. View details about each mod, including the description and dependencies. Save your mod load orders to external json files for sharing or backing things up.
Troubleshooting. Some BG3 Mod Manager issues involve the program not automatically locating the files it needs to thus failing to install correctly. Open your BG3ModManager.exe. Locate 'Settings' at the top and select 'Open Preferences' or press Ctrl + P.
Drag whatever mods you want active, into the Active Mods section on the left side of the Mod Manager. TIPS Overrides are already active mods. Meaning you don't have to do anything for them to be active in your game. Once placed into the mod folder they are Active.
Posted September 3, 2023. Tried to import the modfixer because whenI had a couple mods installed, I get to where Gale in bg3 should appear at the waypoint and he's not there. I assume these mods are breaking the story somehow.
