I have been wearing hearing aids for more than ten years due to high-frequency hearing loss, specifically Kirkland KS10s, for the last three years. Lately, I have noticed more difficulty following conversations in meetings when multiple people speak simultaneously. Also, I have a female assistant to whom English is a first language. Her voice isn’t overly soft, but I find her very difficult ...
Hello, I started wearing hearing aids about a month ago. After the adjustment period, I started noticing issues with the aids. Just FYI, I have a 30-35% loss in hearing in a narrow band of high frequency in both ears. The Costco audiologist recommended Jabra aids and had closed domes on them. The first issue I noticed was, sounds were muffled unless I found the sweet spot in my ear canal to ...
My 6 months is running out on Rexton Bi-Core. I have been in many times for adjustments with not a lot of success. They are better than the Resound Fortes I had but not worth the money I spent. I will wear the Resounds until the new Philip 9050s come out. I know my hearing loss is profound/severe but I can’t hear a lot better with the Rextons I hope the Philips 9050s are better.
I have the KS8 aids which are made by Rexton/Signia. A couple of years ago Consumer Reports used a survey of about 17,000 members to rate hearing aid providers and brands of hearing aids. Costco rated #1 as a provider, and TruHearing was not on the list. The Costco Kirkland Signature hearing aids rated #1 as well. At the time the survey was ...
They are in automatic mode constantly. I take them out about midnight. 17 hours. I do stream video/audio for 2 hours for departmental meetings. When I do I recharge my hearing aids about 5:00 pm to last until midnight. I thought I would respond to show I get good operating time. I had to find a good practitioner to get my hearing aids set up well.
Tom1 January 16, 2024, 10:50pm #1. I have been wearing hearing aids for about 15 years. I purchased Jabra Enhance Pro 10 (11/2022) from Costco. After 4-5 adjustments I still have a very difficult time understanding speech along with really bad feedback. My last adjustment was 1 week ago and my comprehension is less with much feedback.
Why new hearing aids: Yea, I know that on average people wear their hearing aids 5 years or so but for me I felt I was ready for a new pair. I have been waiting for a pair of hearing aids with auracast, had read / watched videos on M&RIE receivers so when I saw the EP20’s were now available at Costco I got really excited.
I had a hearing test recently at Costco (Tulsa, OK) and was fitted with the Rexton Bi-core priced at $1499. I’m new to hearing aids. They seemed fine I guess. I was impressed with the battery life and all the features. Today when I went in to Costco to get a copy of my hearing test the technician told me they just got in the Jabra Enhance Pro 20 micro RIE and he suggested I try them. I didn ...
I’m 73 and about to get my first set of hearing aids at Costco. I am overwhelmed by the decision. The detail everyone gives appears helpful, by we newbies haven’t learned all of the terms. My choice is between Jabra and Philips. I was told that Jabra has better clarity and a better app compared to Philips. Philips, on the other hand, has more natural sound but a basic app compared to Jabra ...
The new trend seems to be Costco gets the latest technology from hearing aid manufacturers almost immediately. Gone are the days of Costco getting the last generation or stripped down tech (although I hear tinnitus features are often disabled for Costco). HearLink 50 looks to be getting the latest motion detectors and Bluetooth LE audio from Demant… similar to what was announced for Oticon ...
