[1] It opened in Tampa, Florida on August 20, 2005. [2] It is similar to, though not affiliated with, the exhibition Body Worlds (which opened in 1995).
Body Worlds ( German title: Körperwelten) is a traveling exposition of dissected human bodies, animals, and other anatomical structures of the body that have been preserved through the process of plastination. Gunther von Hagens developed the preservation process which "unite [s] subtle anatomy and modern polymer chemistry", [1] in the late 1970s.
Alison Lapper MBE (born 7 April 1965 [1]) is a British artist. She is the subject of the sculpture Alison Lapper Pregnant, which was displayed on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square from September 2005 until late 2007.
