So to access the xfinity gateway administrator login page you need to go into a browser type in 10.x.x.1 (x can be replaced with whatever number was set as the ip) and normally a login screen to the modems admin settings SHOULD appear. For thr past week, however, i have been unable to access the login page. It just times out.
However, the XFINITY router cannot be accessed through the 10.0.0.1 IP address using the same 10.0.0.1 address with the same login ID and password that has always worked. I have another tower PC also that always worked before, but it now gets the same result. I have never before encountered this before on either PC.

Hello, I cant seem to find my login on the "10.0.0.1" admin tool page. I have factory reset the router, making sure the LEDs turned off and tried the default "admin" for username and "password" password, but it didn't seem to work. I repeated this a couple more times but still, no luck. If anyone could help me that would be fantastic!

My router's addressing scheme can't be changed, but Comcast is giving me a Default Gateway IP address of 98.215.10.1, so any address my router tries to assign is 'out of range'. I have already tried a factory reset on my router and I still cannot connect to 10.0.0.1 The other IP address you guys use, I think for businesses, also did not work. The connection just times out....
I can not access my modem's settings through the default gateway of 10.0.0.1. I have tried accessing it while plugged in with ethernet and that does not work either. I am only able to access the settings for a minute or two after I reset the modem by hitting the reset button on the back, and then I lose connectivity.
