I used True Key as an add in extension with Widows 10. After a recent update to W10 the icon for True Key has disappeared and I no longer have access to my Passwords. How can I recover. I have looked in the extension list and it says the App is installed but disabled. There is a button to Turn On but when I click on the link nothing happens.
Have you turned on your true key extension on Edge ? In the New Edge address bar, type: edge://extensions and press Enter. Click the button on the right-side to turn on the True Key extension. When you click the button to turn on the True Key extension, the button turns blue. Also, you might want to check if your TrueKey has the latest version.
I have a HP TouchSmart 15 upgraded to Windows 10 and I accidentally deleted my true key. How do I get it back? I thought it was part of Mcafee Security Program. What it exactly is it. Is it face recognition? Is it my Windows key, god I hope not. Please help. Im afraid to turn off my computer for fear I wont get back in.
Look for True Key or Intel Security True Key in the list of programs and right click on the same, select Uninstall. If above mentioned program are not found in the list, look for McAfee LiveSafe. Right click on the McAfee LiveSafe and select Uninstall. Restart the computer and check.
This is more of a reply than a question. I had the same problem in finding the True Key on Microsoft Edge. What you need to do is the following. 1. Click On Extensions on the Top Right-hand side. 2. You should see a list of extensions that you added. 3. Next to the three dots, you will see an icon. 4. Click on that Icon.
Select "Turn off BitLocker" and wait for the decryption to finish. If you need to encrypt again, select "Turn on BitLocker". You should be prompted to save a new recovery key. For those of you that can't find "Intel Truekey" in Programs within the Control Panel: It is hidden in McAfee Live Safe. Click to uninstall McAfee Live Safe, and a dialogue will open asking whether you want to uninstall Live Safe or True Key.
