Fireside Supper Club is also good if your closer to Rhinelander. Pops and I are up grouse hunting. Been to many places for a fish fry. Boat loads of ‘em.
Jenstigator. • 1 yr. ago. Wisconsin summers are beautiful. They run from June through early September. Mostly shorts and flip flops weather (80ish), with an occasional chilly day for pants and a light jacket or wind breaker. Like most of the Midwest it's often fairly windy.

Devil’s Lake has fantastic hiking and rock climbing and a beach on the lake. If you head south to Madison you’ve got one of the best college towns in the country and two beautiful lakes. Vilas Park Zoo in Madison is free - a great place to visit with your family. The Madison children’s museum is also a good stop.

I am in Vilas County - Waterfront, $270k assessed, $2,400 total taxes. I am not aware of a special component to the property taxes because of the lake frontage, nor does an off-water tax bill vary much in comparison to an on-water tax bill.
