An easier way is to use the Sirius XM app on your phone and connect it to your radio in the truck via bluetooth. It doesn't look like the base stereo supports Apple car play or Android auto, so you would have to control it from your phone. I use the app via AA in my Mustang and it works well most of the time.
I purchased it new December 2020 and when I started the trip, I had 3,000 miles on it. During this trip is the first time I played the radio several hours at a time. 3 times the satellite radio faulted when I restarted the truck after a rest stop or getting gas. If we left the truck off for about 30 minutes, the radio worked fine.
I used the xm vehicle kit in my 11 F150. It comes with the head unit, base, power cable, antenna, and accessories cable. I ran the antenna wire under the passenger floor mat and outside at the door hinge and had the magnet antenna right above the windshield.

Let's keep everyone updated as this is beginning to sound like a common problem. Do the soft reboot that Alan mentioned a few posts up. Simply hold the power and forward buttons down for about 5 seconds and the radio will reboot. You'll have Sirius/XM back up within seconds.

There really should be a volume adjustment in the settings, this happened to me once too. I was turning the volume down for the radio and the Nav just happened to come on at the same time which turned it all the way to 0. Now I'm driving around having to watch the screen for the turns instead of the road.

Some thoughts. If you decide to use a smartphone, you’re completely missing the only compelling feature of SiriusXM, which is the satellite feed. Anything else is just music/news/talk over the cellular network, which simply isn't available in many places. It just like comparing a stand-alone GPS receiver (Garmin, etc.) to Google or Apple Maps.
It only shows the Sirius channel number and the Sirius channel name. On my 2013 Explorer, this same selection displays the Sirius channel number, channel name, artist, and song.
