Seth and Kendra are thrust into another dangerous adventure, where they leave the preserve and explore others. In this one they visit a preserve for dragons, wyrmroost, strange changes are wrought in Seth, and the society go farther than they ever have. Its sequel is the last book in the main series - Fablehaven: Keys to the Demon Prison.
He makes friends with a giant and other creatures of the night. While at Wyrmroost Seth and his sister Kendra find out that together they could be a dragon tamer. They together slay Siletta, a poisonous salamander-like dragon, whose entire body consists of deadly poison, and many other monsters. Even after Wyrmroost, Seth is still able to laugh.
After evacuating her world, the Fairy Queen allows the remaining demons to rush into her newly cut off world, trapping them there. With the artifacts in hand, Agad the wizard locks the demons in and the Fairy Queen makes Zzyzx her new home. Kendra, Seth, their parents and their grandparents move to the re-established Fablehaven.
