Hamburg ( / ˈhæmbɜːrɡ / HAM-berg) is a town in Erie County, New York, United States. As of the 2020 census, the town had a population of 60,085. [ 2] It is named after the city of Hamburg, Germany. [ 3] The town is on the western border of the county and is south of Buffalo.
