I have a similar problem, and above you said: "To refresh your inbox in Outlook.com interface, you only need to click the refresh button (rounded arrow) across the "Folders" on the left side of your mailbox page." I'm afraid there is no such Refresh button in my outloook.com on web (accessed through Google Chrome browser).
Can someone please advise how to fx my Inbox which hhas suddenly changed to very small font and I cannot get it back to normal size. Have tried all the usual going through mail format etc.

The refresh button is located at the upper left portion of your inbox page. It is just beside Folders. Afterwards, make sure that your emails are not being forwarded to other accounts which might be the cause why you can't receive any emails. I suggest that you check for your email forwarding setting in your account.
