We buy our wine from Aldi's. Other than friendly when ringing up our order that is about it. We do enjoy their moscatos and our daughter likes their reds. Understand Total Wine will be opening here soon but not very familiar with the chain. We would love to buy more from Trader Joes but apparently closest store is over an hour away.
Hard to beat Total Wine for overall selection and pricing, unless you're not looking for a specific brand and just want decent bourbon in the house, then Sams Club offers great pricing on reasonably decent bourbon brands. About 15-20 years ago Pappy 20 sat getting dusty on PA shelves for $75.

A liquor store and a beer/wine store can be under the same roof but they must have a dividing wall and separate entrances. For instance, Green's, Morganelli's, and Total Wine & More (my go tos when I lived in Columbia) have one common entrance vestibule, but separate entrance doors - one side is beer and wine, the other side is liquor.

A friend of mine goes with his Asian wife to Orlando for cooking supplies a few times a year to some stores that supposedly have everything. I don't think we have the numbers to support that type of store here but it's nice that Walmart carries a lot of the sauces required like Hoisin and Oyster sauce, unfortunately not Shaoxing cooking wine.
