Sosie. The Prix du Jockey Club, sometimes referred to as the French Derby, is a Group 1 flat horse race in France open to three-year-old thoroughbred colts and fillies. It is run at Chantilly over a distance of 2,100 metres (about 1 mile and 2½ furlongs) each year in early June.
The Grand Prix de Paris was abandoned because of the Franco-Prussian War in 1871. It was cancelled throughout World War I, with no running from 1915 to 1918. It continued to be the country's leading flat race until the introduction of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe in 1920. The event was temporarily switched to Le Tremblay in 1943 and 1944.

It is run at Longchamp over a distance of 3,100 metres (about 1 mile and 7½ furlongs), and it is scheduled to take place each year in late October. It is France's equivalent of the St. Leger Stakes, a famous race in England.

The Prix d'Ispahan was initially contested over 3,000 metres, and it was originally open to horses aged three or older. Its distance was cut to 2,400 metres in its second year, and it was further reduced to 2,200 metres in 1891, and to 2,100 metres in 1903. The race was abandoned throughout World War I, with no running from 1915 to 1918.
It returned to Deauville in 1946, and was opened to horses aged four or older in 1952. The Fresnay-le-Buffard stud farm became the sponsor of the Prix Jacques Le Marois in 1986. From this point the event was known as the Prix du Haras de Fresnay-le-Buffard-Jacques Le Marois. The race was added to the Breeders' Cup Challenge series in 2010.
Prix Six Perfections. The Prix Six Perfections is a Group 3 flat horse race in France open to two-year-old thoroughbred fillies. It is run at Deauville over a distance of 1,400 metres (about 7 furlongs) each year in late July or early August.
