So I opened FL Studio today and noticed that any project (even a new one) would make this crackling noise. No underruns, no CPU overload, nothing. It only happened with FL Studio ASIO driver selected on the Audio Settings. Here's a video of the problem (taken from the thread mentioned below):

I must sincerely apologize for my misunderstanding as I am still a rather unseasoned user of FL Studio. What I have discovered is that I can only use the fader / volume controls in audio clips, not MIDI patterns. My understanding now is that I must create an automation for the insert where the pattern exists and apply it from there.

Should FL Studio be notifying us that there's an update if we're running an earlier build than this one? It seems like a lot of people, myself included came here running an earlier build and didn't get any indication in FL Studio that there was an update.
