On 12 August 2019, the Royal Air Force announced that all personnel would henceforth be permitted to wear beards, and on 28 March 2024, the British Army followed suit. As with the Royal Navy, all beards worn by members of the British Army and RAF must be a "full set". Unlike the Royal Navy, moustaches without beards are also still permitted.
