In this case our best option is to switch out of S mode.

I've tried the regedit route going through to modify the '0' to '1' on the long paths, then restarted. No change it still comes up with the same too ...
This is the name of the update: "Canon - Printer - 8/27/2018 12:00:00 AM - 2.91.2.10". I have looked in View Update History, under Driver Updates, and this update is listed as having Successfully Installed on the most recent date it showed on the Windows Update List. I am running: Windows 10, version 20H2 and Quality Update KB4586781.
Replied on June 8, 2024. Report abuse. I found the same problem with my Canon Pixma MG5250. I then noticed that windows 11 had identified my printer as a device not a printer (i.e., a scanner). I then removed manually the device and re-run the Canon WIndows 10 driver installation and finally the printer was installed.
