While I hope it is the only reason that such backward password limitation have been put inplace, it might be to keep support for game-specific login page. Imagine you want to log in an old game where the password field was limited to 16 characters. It would be a shame to have to change password to a shorter one.
Set up my account using Steam (the EA app prompted a sign in page which had Steam as an option). Wanted to change my password but clicking on the 'Change Password' button redirects me to the download page of EA Desktop. Any solutions?
I bought the Deluxe edition on steam, when I go to Launch it will close the steam app, communicate briefly ...
The title I experienced this in is BF4, but I've seen several other users report the exact issue for BF1, BFV, BF2042 and Mass Effect on the Steam forums. Unlocking collectibles in-game and in battlelog seems to be functional, so to me it appears to be an EA app issue.
I'm trying to reset my password because I forgot it and it keeps saying the new one I entered doesn't meet the requirements. Beginning to be quite irritating. Solved!

Now when I launch bf2042 through the EA app or through steam or through the launcher directly, the EA app just restarts and the game doesn't open. I have tried: - Clean install of BF2042 - Clean install of the EA app - Running Steam, the EA app and BF2042 in administrator mode - I even tried getting bf2042 via game pass to see if that fixed it
1) Add EA launcher to Steam: Game menu, Add a Non-Steam Game, then get EALaunch.exe. 2) Make sure EA Launcher is closed AND your Switch gamepad is connected to the bluetooth (if you open the EA Launcher first, it doesn't seem to pickup the gamepad) 3) Start Ea Launcher from the Steam interface. 4) Start your game from the EA interface that opened.
The EA Desktop App version 13.96.0.5609 worked fine. Today I updated to the EA Desktop app version 13.116.0.5629, which continues to not support Steam Integrations. √ - Repair/Verify your game based on which client you are launching from; √ - Steam - Verify in your library; √ - EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
