OK I tried Fishing on my iPad Mini 2 (a little older now) and it works similarly to other devices but instead of pressing a button or key to raise the green fishing bar, you just tap the screen. Tap and hold to raise quickly but since the mechanism is the same, really multiple little taps give you the most control.

Jun 20, 2021. #14. Yeah, fishing seems terrible, at first. But the more you do it man, the more it is easier to fish. When I was level one with bamboo rod, I struggled to catch red snappers. Now I'm like lvl 8 and catching a super cucumber is fine. So basically the more you fish, the better your dude can handle the fish.

Seems the season doesn't matter nor does weather or time - just caught 2 back to back in Spring and after 12 AM, but you gotta cast where the bobber lands right where the bottom of the waterfall is as Loquacious.laconic suggested. At level 10 fishing that's about 2 notches from the max.
