Since NASCAR and beer are associated with each other a lot, I am wondering if there are any drivers who are teetotalers. For whatever reason. It would be interesting if there are any of them that have completed rejected the drinking culture.
I fully understand where you're coming from, however I feel the need to add that NASCAR has even made the "asphalt modifieds", my favorite division, a "generic" class.....similarly bodied race cars, based on 1980s Chevy Cavaliers (they were quite aerodynamic), and steel tube chassis sourced from 2-3 major race shops.
There are tons of Nascar fans in Oklahoma. I am definitely not one of them, but you will find people wearing shirts, bumper stickers ect. It was envisioned years ago, like around the mid 90s. We sat in the front stretch grandstands the first year NASCAR returned to the Glen and the site line is terrible. I have been back there many times for many different events and I just get general admission and wonder the infield. That being said if I wanted a grandstand seat I would consider turn 11 or turn 10.
I will say, that although I don't go to dirt races often, mainly because I can't stand being around fat, drunken, cigarette smoking rednecks, which is about 90% of the people there, sprint cars going sideways around a dirt track is 100 times better watch than NASCAR. I seriously don't know how people even watch NASCAR.
