I don't know for sure, but I imagine the number of knives produced each day is a single-digit multiple of that. In fact, a quick search turns up this, which claims that Kyocera sold 5 million in a year - ~15,000 per day. With less conservative estimates, and/or a small number of such teams, this isn't incredible.
