My favorite work boot is Durango with the square toe, real comfortable and tough. For riding I have Ariats and like them but, with a more round toe to schuck a stirrup easily.

I'm from Texas, where cowboy boots are things you wear at the barn, at the ranch, at work, out to eat, down to the pub, and any place it might not be a good idea to have bare toes.

My reasons for using Renegades over Scoots are less common. My gelding can kick off scoots in the hinds. And for a very fidgety horse I find it easier to put on Renegades.

My calves got too big for my old boots, so I went out looking for a new pair and I wanted some with an elastic panel all the way down the back. These had the elastic, and were a good ...

The main problem with cowboy boots and an english saddle is you may well find the stirrups leathers will rub the insides of your calves and knees.
