Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY; lit. ' Prime Minister's People's Health Scheme ', Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY lit. ' Live Long India Prime Minister's People's Health Scheme ') is a national public health insurance scheme of the Government of India that aims to provide free access to health insurance coverage for low income earners in the country.
The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) (previously known as National Digital Health Mission) is implemented by the National Health Authority (NHA), an agency of the Government of India. [ 1][ 2] The ABDM aims to develop the backbone necessary to support the integrated digital health infrastructure of the country.
Under the scheme, 1 crore of the poorest among the poor (BPL, below poverty line) families covered under the targeted public distribution system are identified.
