Looks really low. Part of our excitement about moving out there was being next to the lake but we didn't realize it was so low. Is it normally that low? Does it usually get back to normal levels quickly or is this something that will take 5-10 years? Kind of a bummer.

There are small lakes in Lake County, that are warm in the summer. In part, that's because the temps are in the 90's in Lake Co. all summer. Still, there are some nice little parks and camping areas up there, north of Clear Lake. There are also a couple of lakes outside of Lassen park, over toward Susanville, that are warm. FYI, through June (so time's tight I realize) the City of Folsom is offering $125 rebates towards new low-flow toilets that replace old ones. Our 19-year old toilets were 5 gallon toilets. We bought $139 1.8 gallon toilets at Lowe's to replace them. If you're handy you can remove, install yourself. It would save a lot of water.

My family is from Pilot Hill, which is at the top end of the "peninsula" part of Folsom Lake. Folsom is about a 20 minute drive away, depending on choice of roads. I have seen Folsom change ALOT over the years. It grew TONS in the housing boom of the mid-2000s. It used to be a somewhat small-ish city which has grown into a big suburbia-land.
