I tried to update my 16 RS with the official update. Note that I said "tried" I put the USB drive in the hub after starting the car, It said it found the update then was installing the update. I drove around for 45 minutes, then gave up. Everyone says it takes around 20 minutes.... It did not update.. I was using a Sandisk 16 gig USB 2.0.

1. Formatted a 64gb USB3.0 flash drive to Exfat, unzipped Sync files to root of USB (with proper file structure) on Windows. 2. Ign on, master reset of Sync system, ign off, close door and wait until lights go off. 3. Start vehicle, wait for Sync to boot and insert flash drive (have tried both ports) 4.
Sync 3.4 Upgrade. Torque & Tech released this video on Tuesday, it all works just fine on our RSs as well. Just updated mine from 3.0 to 3.4. It's nice that it turns on the Climate Control stuff all w/o any FORScan involved. He followed along with this page, which has all the files needed to be downloaded...

I’ve read through most of these posts and tried to search, I apologize if this has been asked and answered, but my owner page has me stuck on version 2.
Update from 2.3 - 3.0 was painless. 15 minutes from inserting USB to completion. Did the following procedure: - Wait for Sync to fully come up - Turn off BT & Wifi - Insert USB and wait-When it finished, turn off car, exit for 10 seconds, restart Instantly noticed the disconnect from AA didn't blast the radio at full volume, which was nice.
