    2. OneNote hogs loads of space on my phone, Evernote does not. OneNote can occupy hundreds of MB, and my phone is only 2GB total, half of which is Android itself, and apps. This is because OneNote seems to download everything, whereas Evernote only downloads tiny bits of metadata.

  3. Evernote vs. OneNote - Education - Evernote User Forum

    discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/96177-evernote-vs-onenote

At least for Android I only know, Evernote is full of great feature, while Onenote is weak, poor, not ergonomic, empty of all the features I like in the desktop app : no way to tag, link, filter, etc. In a word: unusable. That's why I keep with Evernote (desktop and mobile), beacause of the reliable ecosystem it offers.

  4. Is OneNote a good alternative to Evernote?

    discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/148904-is-onenote-a-good-alternative-to...

A feature rich search function to find that needle of a note in your haystack pile of notes. OneNote is poor, to say the least, at tagging and search compared to EN. On a tangent, the debate in EN circles on when to use notebooks vs tags illustrates the great flexibility with EN as there is no right or wrong answer. 3.

    discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/114136-onenote-vs-evernote-real-fact

OneNote is better at editing (proprietary format). Evernote is better at filing documents/files. I don't need a new editor; I have access to various editors that get the job done. I need a tool to store my +10,000 documents and make it easy to access data as required.

    discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/150462-evernote-legacy-ending-on-2024-03-23

Hi folks, got an email from Evernote telling the following: Update to continue using Evernote. On March 23, 2024, we’ll be saying goodbye to legacy versions of the Evernote app. On that date, all versions of Evernote released prior to v10 on macOS, Windows, and Android will stop working. The iOS version has already been decommissioned.

  7. Handwriting as good as OneNote? - Evernote User Forum

    discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/111527-handwriting-as-good-as-onenote

Evernote is brilliant, love it, used it for years, properly invested with regards my professional/personal workflow. However I've now got more and more devices that use a digital pen, ie iPad, Surface, Note 8. Microsoft's OneNote is terrible compared to Evernote with one glaring difference, their pen support is amazing! The rest is terrible.

    discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/150242-evernote-vs-notion

Not sharing, making websites, web clipping, emailing, etc. For my needs, Notion is better. You can create "notes inside notes inside notes" - the "Toggle" heading is awesome - make a bunch of subnotes on a page, click a toggle and collapse it. Links between pages / notes / sections is easier.

  9. Please do not let me down, OneNote VS Evernote, "Find Tags"

    discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/94650-please-do-not-let-me-down-onenote...

I was curious as to whether I should use OneNote tags as they seemed pretty nice, at first glance. Turns out, OneNote tagging is actually pretty limited and searching for tags in OneNote is awful compared to Evernote's search capabilities. Just do a websearch for "OneNote search tags" or something along these lines and you'll see what I mean.

  11. Evernote vs Nimbus Note - is it worth to switch to?

    discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/130884-evernote-vs-nimbus-note-is-it...

I have 52,000 notes in Evernote Legacy (actually I killed update and stayed with 6.25.1 - the last public version) and I'm staying firmly here until Evernote bring back the features that they've stressed several times are temporarily missing from the desktop apps. I reckon by the new year the app might be back to usable, and after that it ...
