well, i see a lot ofpeople who have invested a lot of money in to positions that only pay a few bucks per year in dividends and may have some growth in regards to share prices, but the way this market has been over the last 6-8 months...USOI's price has stayed pretty consistant and im pulling in a HECK OF A LOT MORE in dividend payments each month than those other more "stable or structured ...
It's an oil stock that trades off of options. It's a monthly dividend stock with a pretty decent history and because it's oil, it's incredibly cheap to buy into right now. What is everyone's opinion on this? I know it's an ETN, but it isn't leveraged. The main worry I'd have on this would be a reverse split (I got boned on UCO lol).
BigUglyGinger. • 2 yr. ago. I use USOI as a dividend payer only and don’t expect much growth at all, will probably even crash. But with 20-30% dividends, I’ve already got my initial investment back. From now on, it’s just profit, until it disappears as some have suggested it can. Note: I’m kind of retarded. 3.
They just.. delist and stop trading. Which they do if the issuer gets bored running it. Best case, the issuer will give you a few pennies on the dollar. Worst case you have some zero-value zombie shares sitting in your account. Time will tell if this was a shrewd investment or a $98 lesson.
The dividend varies month to month. Google USOI Dividend history. $0.10 dividend x 12 months = $1.20 per year...$1.20/avg stock price $4.80 = 25%. I'm considering buying more but I'd like to hear what folks have to say. It's nice getting my $500-$1000 per month (yes i know it's taxable). Reply reply. SacredHell_88.

Started looking at USOI as an income play. Using very small trauches to hopefully capture the lowest cost over time. USOI just announced a reverse split. Reverse splits are normally not good. I have bailed on this experiment. With the yield and the erosion of market price I broke even. Not sure I learned anything.
Yes. I don’t know if USOI is specifically at risk for delisting at the moment though. You should only have less than 5% of your portfolio in these high risk dividend plays. 544K subscribers in the dividends community. A community by and for dividend growth investors. Let's make money together!
Usoi is an etn which pays monthly coupons. It gets taxed as ordinary dividends. No special treatment. Anyone have an answer to this yet? Is it normal for these to be classified as 'other income' (thus not taxed as a dividend, and instead taxed as income)? I had them reported on my Robinhood 1099 for 2022 as dividends.
