This is a post I read by Qball20 on acura-legend.com and it worked for me exactly as described. Needless to say I was very pleased with not having to pay Acura to pull the radio. "You don't need to remove the radio. There's a non-use "button" between the fog light and rear-window defroster buttons. You can pop that off with a small screwdriver.

C. cinna46825. 2 posts · Joined 2008. #6 · Jun 11, 2008. Oh NO! Radio Code. Some dealers put radio codes in differing places on certified pre-owned Acuras. In my case the same thing happened. Needed new battery, got one and OH NO radio code., I called the dealer where I purchased the vehicle.

1 post · Joined 2007. #4 · Aug 28, 2008. Radio code reset. (97 TL 3.2) I was able to move the carpet on the passenger side and view the serial number on the sticker on the radio. With this number you can call for the code to unlock the radio after you prove ownership ( I faxed the registration and my license).
Since you have nav, you need to look at your sub-display for the radio. Use the preset memory buttons to enter the code. Reply Like. Press and hold the power button on the radio/nav system for a few seconds until it turns off. Release the power button and turn off the ignition. Open the hood and remove the negative battery cable. Wait for at least 15 minutes. Reconnect the negative battery cable and close the hood.
To unlock the radio, you must press and hold presets numbered 1 and 6 for the radio then press the power on button. At that point the point the serial will display. I think I hit the power button again which displayed "CODE". Then, using the presets, enter the 5 digit pin to activate the radio. Reply Quote Like.
